MSC Software
Military Standard Communications (MSC) software suite, also known as MARS Standard Communications software suite is available to current MARS members. Army MARS Auxiliarists are required to utilize this software to perform MARS related mission essential tasks.
(Member developed software, such as the MS-DMT software modem is provided below, scroll to the end of this page)
Background
There is no readily available Amateur Radio or MARS member developed software that is suitable for MARS members to perform the mission related tasks under the current conditions required of the MARS program.
The MSC software listed here is licensed to the US government, is provided by HQ Army MARS for use by MARS members, and it is required to perform the complete mission related tasks required of AMARS members. The MSC suite supports the entire end-to-end workflow of MARS. This software is modular in design, includes modules which are capable of performing data collection and consolidation functions, and may appear to be more complex if all modules are loaded at once by a new user. It is recommended that new users load only those modules that are necessary, and add modules that support new workflow when required.
Source code for an example terminal application and radio modem interface is included the folders below .
